On October 19th at the SIBOR Annual Membership Meeting Frank Reali was named SIBOR Realtor-of-the-Year for 2006.  Mr. Reali serves on the SIBOR Board of Directors as President elect and will be the 2007 President.

The Realtor-of-the-Year is awarded annually to a Realtor who has demonstrated excellence in their business career, and in their service to the industry and to the community.

Frank Reali was licensed in 1984 and with his wife and partner Francine opened Century 21 Fran Reali Realty in 1988.  They changed the name to Century 21 Safari Realty in 2000 and today operate a company with three locations and 95 agents.  Frank left his career in waterfront management in 1998 and became a full-time broker-owner.

Mr. Reali joined the SIBOR board of directors in 2002 and has been a member of the MLS Board of Governors since 1999.  He’s chaired and served on numerous committees including Bylaws, Budget and Finance, RPAC Fundraising and Legislative.  He has shown his commitment to Realtor advocacy by contributing at least $1,000 annually to the Realtor’s Political Action Committee since 2001.

He holds the Certified Residential Broker (CRB), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) and Certified Buyers Representative (CBR) designations/certifications.

He is a consistent attendee at New York State Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors business meetings and conventions and has become a prominent presence on committees at those levels.  He currently chairs the NYSAR NYC Issues Working Group which oversees the actions of the City Council with representatives from all five boards which represent NYC Realtors and with the assistance of a professional lobbying firm.

He has been active in Century 21 franchise activities including serving as president of the Metro NY/Long Island Century 21 Brokers Council from 1998-2000, and served on a Regional Brokers Communications Congress from 1999-2003 that was responsible for researching ways to improve the delivery of services to clients and franchise owners.

He is a regular contributor to numerous worthy causes on Staten Island and has organized and sponsored  a number of fund raisers for worthy causes in the community.

He has been a trustee of the Staten Island Institute of Arts and Sciences, chaired and served on committees for Staten Island Zoo, and has received awards from the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, Staten Island Alzheimer’s Association and the Staten Island Aids Task Force.

As President of SIBOR in 2007, Mr. Reali says he “Hopes to make a contribution to streamlining and improving the real estate transaction which will help every Realtor on Staten Island.  The other officers and I also plan to put programs into place to raise the professional level of Staten Island real estate practitioners in order to prove our worth to the consumer.”

Fran and Frank Reali have four sons and nine grandchildren.
